Floc ferme is an old stone farmhouse with adjoining restored gites in an elevated position at the end of the village of Coussa, with wonderful views over the Pyrenees and surrounding villages

In a rural but not too remote area of beauty and tranquility. Views from the property include Mont d'Olme, Mont Fourcat and the historic Montsegur.

There is something for all tastes in this unspoilt corner of southern France, for lovers of outdoors there are numerous walks and VTT cycle routes of varying difficulties and the unique climbing 'Escalades en Ariege' at Le Granit d'Auzat. Lombrives cave is the largest in Europe, or the Grotte de Niaux and Grotte de Mas d'Azil are worth a visit. The riviere souterraine de Labouiche offers a underground river cruise and there is the Pre-historic park for a day out.

The vibrant markets of Mirepoix and Foix both 15 minutes away or for the historians the cathar chateau of Montsegur, Roquefixade and ...

Although the setting is unquestionably peaceful and unspoilt, the gites are only 15 minutes away from hypermarkets at junction 6 of the N20 and a five minute morning drive brings you to a choice of two traditional boulangeries in the villages of Verniolle or Varhiles where you may buy newly-baked baguettes, croissants or warm "pain-au-raisin".

Main gite is fully self-contained with open plan style lounge diner. The french doors allows light to flow in and also enables you to have a wonderful view of the valley and mountains. There is an enclosed wood burner for winter rentals, logs are supplied. This gite accommodates up to 6 persons with use of sofa-bed in the lounge. Upstairs is a spacious twin bedroom and double bedroom with bathroom.

Le Repos (the rest) 2 - 4 persons, comprises of open-plan kitchen diner. Upstairs is a double bedroom and twin bedroom plus bathroom. From the double bed great views over the valley to the mountains, ideal for that 1st cup of coffee in the morning. This gite has been built in what was part of the old barn, with its thick walls wonderfully cool in summer.

Apartment for 2 persons, fully self-contained with double bed and bathroom. Dual aspect with rear covered terrace.

We are located 10 minutes of N20 main Toulouse to Andorra route junction 7

Nearest airports are Carcassonne 45 minutes and Toulouse 55 minutes.

Rentals are normally from Saturday to Saturday but if gites are free, there may be room for flexibility.

SHORT BREAKS of three or four nights are possible. Also longer rentals of up to a month can be arranged.

B&B also available upon request.

A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking and balances must be paid 2 months before rentals commence.
